A Night Out!!

So last weekend Dave and I went to Louisa and Brian's wedding. It was soooo much fun to see old friends and get away from the girls, if it was only for a little while. Louisa looked absoluty stunning, and I actually cried when I saw her right before the wedding...dang I don't know what got in to me! It was such a great night, and here are some pics for you all to enjoy. Frances and I decided that it is so stupid that we didn;t see eachother for a YEAR!! so heres to keeping in touch better, and making time for old friends in our new lives!!! Congrats Louisa!!!

Birthday pics

Dakota watching everything going on

Blowing out her candles - she actually got one by herself!
YEAH PLAYDOUGH!

Good and Bad

Well the greatest thing happened last night.....DAKOTA SLEPT THROUGH THE NIGHT!!!!!! I woke up around 5:30 in a slight panic, but she was still breathing and sleeping away..it was fantastic, I feel like a whole different person today, its amamzing how 6 uninterupted hours of sleep can do for a person!! And now for the bad, Cheyenne turned two yesterday (which was fun) but it must of turned on a mental shift in her head, and now she is just TERRIBLE!! I love the girl, but seriuosly all she does is whine and whine and cry and scream. She got a new bike for her birthday, and she only wants to ride it in the street, and she screams is someone trys to help her, but she really can't do it by herself yet. She goes into the grass and falls off...which makes her even more mad!! oh man she was driving us crazy yesterday. I am praying it was just because she was realy tired and that it won't last.

For my dear friend

My friend and her husband have been placed heavily on my heart lately. Some of you may know them, Betsy was my roommate in college, and her husband Andrew. They have an adorable daughter named Noura, who is a real miricle and testament to God's grace. They have been through sooo much this past year. Noura was born three months early, and it has been a really long journey to get where they are today. Now they are off on a brand new scary adventure to Africa. Andrew has been called to help set up a chirstian radio station. I don't know much about it, but you can check out their blog for more info (there is a link on my blog) NEway they are leaving in August, and still haven't raised near enough money, and while they are trying their hardest, they have faced some oppostion that has really set them for a spin. I know how hard it is to raise money and have faith that you know everything will be alright. You all supported us genoursly when we were in St. Louis weather it was finacially or through your prayers. Now I am asking you to help out one of my closest friends. If you aren't able to donate money, at least please pray for them. One thing I have learned since moving here is that prayer is a VERY POWERFUL thing. So please keep them in your prayers. They need to raise $14,000 by August, which is a huge amount. So just please be praying for them that they feel God's presance and leading in their journey, and that money will start coming in and some of the stress will be realived. Thank you so much for praying for them, I am sure they will appreicate it.

Another Week

LIfe has kind of fallen into a routine now. If you haven't heard yet, I lost my job recently. We got a new director at the YMCA and he is making a lot of budget cuts to try to get us back on track, but there actually is talk of closing down because we are far in debt. I was pretty upset and shocked when I found out, and had to go through a season of grieving. I really loved my job, and it will be extremely hard to find one like it around here. I am not yet sure what I will do, I know that I do want to work.....kudos to stay at home moms, I don't know how you have the patiance and don't go insane, cuase I would!! Needless to say I want to work, but it might just have to be some part time something like Target or such. We will have to see, I am gonna wait a little while longer before I start looking though, I need to get Dakota taking a bottle before I can do anything! Other than that things have been going pretty smoothly around here. Dakota is eating and growing, and now sleeping very much, but she is overall a happy content baby, she doens't cry alot, which is really nice. Cheyenne is doing okay, she gets bored throughout the day and wants to always be doing things, so she loves it when dad comes home and takes her outside!
